In September 2018, the Access Challenge, in partnership with the Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete Foundation, launched the One by One: Target 2030 Campaign, which is a high-level multi-pronged policy movement, founded to mobilize an African leadership base around UHC.

 

Through partnerships and high level African leadership discussions, the One by One Campaign will rally leaders, policymakers, financial investment, global consensus and African citizens around the need for Universal Health Coverage.

 

One African nation at a time, One by One will recruit Heads of State to commit to Universal Health Coverage. Healthy child at the center of the system In order to make real progress towards UHC, there needs to be a fundamental reorientation towards a healthy child at the center of the health system.

 

There needs to be a solution-focused approach which begins with a focus on the ideal:
millions of healthy kids surviving til 5 - rather than looking at the problems - or diseases - in front of us and then working within this limited set of parameters towards solutions.
